Prison Break Season 6 Trailer Updates — What Actually Happened
Prison Break Season 6 already existed as a completed limited series that aired on Fox in April 2017. It's been out for nearly a decade, so if you're searching for a fresh trailer release date, there isn't one. The show ran for 9 episodes across two story arcs — "Resurrection" and "Farewell" — with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell returning as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. The original teaser trailers dropped in early 2017, leading up to the premiere. I remember checking my feeds regularly because a lot of us were still processing the gap since the original series ended in 2009. The marketing was relatively low-key compared to typical network TV pushes, which made sense given the limited episode count and the direct-to-season model Fox was testing at the time.
Prison Break Season 6 Exclusive Trailer Release Date Updates And All You Need To Know
Here's where things get murky. Because the season already aired years ago, most sites calling themselves "update" pages are just repackaging old information or speculating about something that doesn't exist. I've seen a handful of fan-made pages and click-driven articles claim new trailers are coming, and honestly, it's worth knowing how to separate actual news from noise. The real trailer assets that exist are: Official Teaser Trailer (January 2017) — Released through Fox's YouTube channel and social media. This is the main piece of marketing footage that introduces the Return to Escapade plotline. It's available on Fox's official YouTube page and has been there since 2017.
Final Trailer (March 2017) — A slightly longer cut that drops closer to the premiere date. Same distribution channels. If someone sends you a link claiming to be a "Season 6 trailer 2025 update" or anything recent, it's either a re-upload of the old material or pure fabrication. I learned this the hard way — I once followed a link from a forum thread that promised an unreleased trailer, and it redirected to a phishing page. The URL looked legit at first glance because it used a similar domain structure to a known fan community. I checked the HTTPS certificate details and the registration date before clicking anything further. Most of these knockoff domains are registered weeks at a time and don't have any legitimate history.

Where to Watch the Actual Season 6 Content
The 9-episode limited series is available on Hulu in the US. Internationally, availability varies — in the UK it's on NOW TV, and in some regions it appears on Disney+ under the Star banner. There is no Season 6 Part 2 or continuation in production. Fox has not announced any further Prison Break seasons, and Wentworth Miller has been open about moving on to other projects, including his work as a screenwriter and his advocacy. The original five-season run plus the Season 6 miniseries makes up the complete story arc that Fox told. If you're looking to start from scratch, I'd recommend watching Seasons 1 through 5 first. Season 6 works as a direct continuation but lands harder if you've already invested in the characters' histories.
Why the Confusion Persists
Prison Break has a persistent cult following, and that creates ongoing demand for new content. Algorithm-driven recommendation engines pick up on search volume for the show and push related articles into feeds, many of which are recycled or mislabeled. A lot of YouTube channels also re-upload old trailers with new thumbnails and titles like "NEW 2025 TRAILER" to generate views. It's a volume game for them, not accuracy. The most reliable sources for any Prison Break news would be the official Fox social accounts, Wentworth Miller's verified profiles, or reputable entertainment outlets like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Anything outside those channels should be treated as unofficial until confirmed.
Bottom Line
There is no upcoming Prison Break Season 6 trailer because Season 6 already exists and has been available since 2017. The marketing cycle for it closed years ago. If you want to watch it, Hulu is the primary destination in the US. If you see articles about new Season 6 trailer dates, they're either outdated, speculative, or designed to generate clicks. The show's story concluded with those 9 episodes, and as of now there's no indication that anything beyond that exists or is in development.
